If you're interested in finding a fun and rewarding way to spend your weekday evenings, consider teaching for us! We're looking for smart, personable, and fun people to join us in preparing students for their exams. You must have a passion for teaching, a love of standardized exams, and a desire to help students prosper. View further requirements by exam below.

Starting pay is $35 per hour, and includes fun coworkers, and a free membership to the swanky gym in the building. Tutoring is paid at $50 per hour. Instructors must teach at least one Griffon Prep class before being placed in a tutoring role, to insure that they are fully familiar with the curriculum.

GRE Verbal

Instructors must have scored at least 167 on the verbal portion of an actual, administered GRE exam. Requires a strong familiarity with the types of questions on the GRE exam. Verbal instructors will be required to lead quirky word games during some classes, and must be comfortable leading and playing games. Applicants with an extroverted personality and strong vocabulary and writing skills are preferred.

GRE Math

Instructors must have scored at least 167 on the math portion of an actual, administered GRE exam. Math instructors must be comfortable solving math questions multiple ways, and must be able to break down the steps for solving the problems. They must also be able to spot mathematical mistakes in their students' work and be able to explain those mistakes. Applicants with nerdy math humor and geeky math T-shirt collections are preferred.

GMAT

Instructors must have scored at least 740 on an actual, administered GMAT exam and be familiar with the types of questions on the GMAT and be able to break the questions down into simple steps. Applicants must have a solid grasp of mathematical principles and be able to pass along those principles to their students. They must also be comfortable with grammar and critical reasoning.

LSAT

Instructors must have scored at least 170 on an actual, administered LSAT exam and be familiar with the types of questions on the LSAT exam. Instructors must be able to analyze the reasoning that the students are using to answer the questions and be able to guide and correct that reasoning.
