ABOUT GRIFFON PREP

We founded Griffon Prep in 2005, after teaching test preparation for three different national companies. We loved teaching, but we realized that there were many advanced concepts that weren't getting covered, and students really needed these advanced concepts to progress to the upper scores of the exam. Furthermore, the students who were struggling with the material often had nowhere to turn to, since commercial classes were often large and impersonal.

We started Griffon Prep with the goal of creating a solid business that could support us while we did what we loved: teach. Our model is simple: small classes -- no more than 12 students -- allow every student to get the attention they need. We added weekly office hours where students could come in to get help for free. And we created a curriculum that covered the entire spectrum of the exam: from the basics to the advanced concepts.

The secret to our success: we love our customers. And we hire instructors who love people and love to teach. We found that by creating a classroom environment that students enjoy, our students learn better.

And because of our focus on students, we've created an unparalleled curriculum, with techniques that you will not find at the larger companies. Because our staff is small and our instructors are bright, we can innovate and adjust as the exam changes.
